Volunteering
All participants are required to volunteer in some capacity at the gathering. This is how true community is built, and we promise that your Firemaker experience will be better for it! There are many tasks that you can help with to support the Firemaker gathering and the efforts of the council. There will be a volunteer board on which you will be asked to sign up for two 1-hour slots upon check-in at the gathering. The Firemaker gathering is organized and run completely by a council of volunteers. Please feel free to help out by refilling the milk at the coffee and tea station or putting a new roll of toilet paper in the outhouse! You might be surprised at how much small acts such as these mean to the council members, the Firemaker community, and to yourself and your own experience at the gathering!

Being the Timekeeper
We need a person who always has a watch (rare among us, we know) and is willing to do call-outs for all the meals and circle-ups throughout the week. There is a 10 minute call out, a two-minute "come on in" call out, and a "circle up" call out for 3 meals and 2 circles per day. This is a very important job as it makes sure everything runs on time, and we get to spend as much time as possible with our wise instructors, and that we get to the food as soon as possible!! If you are interested in being the Timekeeper, please contact us. Thank you!
